A leopard, gone soft.
Cream faux fur, spotted black.
One cord pulls it closed.
The gold heart swings when you walk.

The soft one in the room. Plush cream faux fur, spotted leopard-black. We call it faux because it is. The rim gathers into a ruffle, trimmed in burgundy leather-look. One drawstring cinches it shut. The strap is a gold-tone curb chain. At the front cinch, a figaro chain carries a small gold-tone heart. It swings when you walk. Fur wings flare at the sides, so the bag reads bigger than it carries. Inside: a phone, keys, a card wallet, a paperback. Drop them in, pull the cord, go. Faux fur asks little — spot clean, smooth the pile by hand. This bag is not quiet. That's the point.
